800+ Trees Planted

World Environment Day Tree Planting Initiative

Partnered with the Good Forests Foundation Uganda in a large-scale tree planting exercise, planting over 800 trees across Hoima, Rukungiri, and Fort Portal to promote climate action and conservation.

Community Clean-up & 50 Trees at Palace

GITA-Africa Launch ("Let the Pearl Shine" Campaign)

Members partnered with Miss Tourism Uganda to undertake a community clean-up exercise to promote responsible citizenship and environmental cleanliness. They also collaborated with the Good Forests Foundation Uganda to plant 50 trees at the Kabaka's Palace.

1,000 Trees Planted & Market Sensitization

International Museum Day Celebrations (Jinja)

The CSR committee actively participated alongside the Good Forests Foundation Uganda to plant approximately 1,000 trees across streets and public spaces in Jinja City. Additional activities included community clean-up operations and market sensitization campaigns focused on environmental responsibility and maintaining clean tourism spaces.

Supporting Innovation in Practice (Jinja Exhibition)

Provided exhibition space during the International Museum Day celebrations to young innovators, including a female artist showcasing handcrafted African artistry from nature/wildlife materials and a male entrepreneur promoting a locally inspired coffee and cocoa brand.
